Graco Fine Finish Low Pressure RAC X FF LP SwitchTip
Choose the Style that matches your coating and spray-width requirements. Graco FF LP reversible airless tips are designed for fine-finish work such as trim, moulding, cabinets, woodwork and metal. Graco describes these tips as spraying at up to 50% lower pressure while delivering a high-quality fine finish. Reverse the SwitchTip to clear clogs, following the equipment instructions.
FF LP style selection chart
Each row below was checked against that specific style's Graco manufacturer page on November 3, 2026. Fan widths are Graco's published specifications, not a guaranteed width for every coating or spraying condition. The 310 specifications do not apply to the other styles.
For example, Style 312 has a 0.012-inch orifice and a published 6-inch (152.4 mm) fan; Style 310 has a 0.010-inch orifice and a published 6-inch (152.4 mm) fan. Specifications above come from each style's North American Graco page, rather than being calculated from the style number.
Guard, gun and sprayer compatibility
All 17 linked style pages specify the Graco RAC X HandTite Tip Guard 246215. This guard has a 7/8-inch gun connection. Confirm your gun's thread and approved guard fit before ordering; tip-to-guard compatibility does not establish compatibility with every gun or sprayer. FF LP tips require the blue RAC X guard, not the orange RAC IV/RAC V/TruAirless guard.
Use the correct FF LP seal assembly supplied with the tip. Graco notes that RAC X and FF LP/LP seal assemblies are not interchangeable. Check your gun and sprayer manuals for the permitted tip size, coating compatibility and operating limits. Graco lists a maximum working pressure of 4,050 psi for these tips and guard; this is a component rating, not a recommended spraying pressure. Never exceed the lowest-rated component in your setup.
Coating selection
Each linked North American style page lists lacquer, varnish, stain and enamel as compatible materials. This does not mean every formulation will work with every tip size or sprayer. Follow the coating manufacturer's technical data sheet for the recommended orifice and application requirements, and check the sprayer manual for approval of the specific water-based or solvent-based product. Do not assume blanket suitability for primers, latex paints or all solvent-borne coatings.
Graco notes that a solvent seal is available for extremely hot solvents. Confirm the appropriate seal and equipment compatibility before using these materials; a tip's material listing alone does not establish that a sprayer is suitable for flammable or solvent-based coatings. Follow the equipment's pressure-relief and tip-cleaning instructions.
