Our Story

Our Story begins,

It was 1983 when I decided to venture into the world of the self employed. I started a little shop in Courtland called Varro’s Draperies with my Wife and mother making custom made drapery and blinds . Two years later the opportunity to get into the flooring business in our present location arose and we ended up serving the community in both residential and commercial flooring for over 20 years . We expanded our business in 1988 with the Benjamin Moore line of quality products and never looked back . Over the years we also expanded our business to Simcoe and Aylmer primarily selling Benjamin Moore paint products. Also in 1988 we went incorporated as Try-Kal interiors inc. With the operating names of Varro’s Floor and Wall , Aylmer Paint and Paper, and Simcoe Paint and Paper. These days we no longer do flooring work or operate a Aylmer location , but have focused our business to quality custom made blinds, shades and shutters and quality Benjamin Moore paint and related products to service our two locations in Simcoe and Tillsonburg. The last 10 - 15 years were very humbling for me as both my son’s have stepped up to the plate and found themselves as successful self employed individuals and owners of what today is My Paint and Decor. Both Diane and myself are very proud and great full that our family business we started 37 years ago will carry on for another generation .
